LadBaby praised as ‘absolute genius’ for unusual lighting hack to save money on energy bills

LadBaby fans have vowed to head down to Home Bargains to follow the star’s unique energy-saving advice.

The YouTuber’s latest video “When Dad hacks lighting in the energy crisis” proved hugely popular among his million followers after he showed an unusual alternative to switching the lights on at home in a bid to help people reduce bill costs . LadBaby showed that he arranged motion-sensored lighting bought from Home Bargains , typically used for security purposes outdoors, inside his kitchen.

The star explained that the lights come with solar panels, meaning they can be placed outside during the day to charge up in the sun for free. At an upfront cost of £15, he added that it could provide a cheaper alternative overall than switching on the mains, The Mirror reports .

Fans were quick to heap praise on the blogger for his advice, with one YouTube user commenting on the video: “You are amazing. An absolute genius.”

“You guys are effing great,” another viewer added. “Well done you, this will help a lot of people panicking right now.”

“That’s the modern day candle,” a third said. “What a fantastic idea.”

Many said that they were going to try the hack for themselves. “I thought this was going to be a joke,” one admitted. “But now I’m on my way to Home Bargains.”

Others who claimed to have been using the lights in their own homes vouched for their success. “I’ve been using them for years now. Definitely works and worth every penny,” one person said.

“I put one in my kitchen about six months ago,” another added. “It’s surprisingly good and convenient.”

“I do this with wardrobe lights,” one LadBaby fan advised. “If you’re just getting a snack or putting a dish in the sink, why put the lights on. Does look a bit better than the outdoor light.”
