In this electoral contest, Labour garnered an impressive 50% of the total votes, while Reform UK followed closely behind with 27%. The Conservative party experienced a decline in support, receiving only 15% of the votes cast.
It is noteworthy that the Blyth and Ashington constituency is a newly established electoral division, resulting from the recent adjustments made to the boundaries of the UK's 650 parliamentary seats following the 2019 election. These boundary modifications are a routine occurrence that takes place every few decades to ensure fair representation.
Notably, had this constituency existed during the 2019 election, Labour would have emerged victorious with 48% of the vote share, surpassing the Conservatives who would have secured 34% of the votes based on notional calculations.
