Labour’s Ed Miliband appeared to squirm as he was confronted about calling President-elect Donald Trump a “racist, misogynistic, self-confessed groper”.
The energy secretary was asked about working with Trump on climate change following his previous comments when he appeared on BBC Breakfast on Tuesday (12 November).
After stating he wanted to find “common ground” with Trump, presenter Jon Kay asked him: “How are you going to build a relationship with someone you described in the past a racist, misogynistic, self-confessed groper?”
Mr Miliband responded: “I’ve said some things in the past, my job now as a government minister is to work with people.”
