The Labour Party is heading to Liverpool for its annual conference, which begins next Sunday.
The event will take place at the city's Arena and Convention Centre from Sunday, September 25 to Wednesday September 28. It's a big one for Labour, who say they will head to Liverpool on an election footing. Labour remains solidly ahead of the Conservatives in the polls, but will be assessing what the impact of the arrival of Liz Truss as Prime Minister has had.
Labour announced Exclusively in the Echo this today that should they form a government after the next general election they will institute a Hillsborough Law, requiring public authorities and officials proactively cooperate with official investigations, entitling victims of disasters or state-related deaths to parity of legal representation, appointing a public advocate for bereaved families that have lost ones in a disaster and requiring all public authorities to publish a ‘Code of Ethics’ that promotes ethical behaviour, transparency, and candour.
Ahead of the conference, which the Echo will be attending across all three days, Liverpool Echo Political editor Liam Thorp will be answering any questions you might have.
Just leave your questions in the commenting section below and Liam will respond.
