The Labour Party will be heading to Liverpool in a matter of weeks for its biggest event of the year.
The city will play host to the Labour Party Conference in September. The party have said they will be coming to Liverpool on an election footing.

The conference
Like all major political parties, the Labour Party holds an annual conference each year. It is the main event of a political party's calendar and brings party members, MPs, councillors and delegates together in one place. The conference will see keynote speeches from senior party figures and a host of fringe events discussing policies and key issues.
The Labour Party Conference also sees crucial meetings over party rules and plans.
When is it?
The 2022 Labour Party Conference will take place from Sunday September 25 until Wednesday September 28.
Where is it?
The conference is being held in Liverpool. The main event venues are the Arena and Convention Centre and Exhibition Centre at the city's Kings Dock as well as the nearby Pullman Hotel.
Who goes to conference?
Every Constituency Labour Party and affiliated organisation is entitled to send delegates to the annual conference. You must be elected by your organisation to attend conference as a delegate.
There is also a large media presence at every conference.
When will we know the full schedule for conference?
In late August, the Labour Party will publish the conference timetable online. This will allow people to see what fringe events are happening and when the major keynote speeches will take place.
