LA rally to beat Coyotes in Australian NHL exhibition

Two Adrian Kempe goals in the final period have lifted the LA Kings to a 3-2 win over the Arizona Coyotes in the second National Hockey League (NHL) pre-season exhibition match in Melbourne.

After losing to their Western Conference rivals 5-3 on Saturday, the Kings again fell behind to a Barrett Hayton goal on Sunday.

There were five penalties in a scoreless second period before LA rallied late, with Kempe's goals coming either side of another from Jacob Moverare.

Travis Dermott scored a late consolation for the Coyotes in front of 13,188 fans at Rod Laver Arena.

The two-game Global Series, which ended tied at 1-1, marked the first time NHL contests have been played in the southern hemisphere.

More than 30,000 fans attended three days of action, including an open training session on Friday.
