Puka Nacua has generated a lot of hype in Los Angeles this offseason, receiving rave reviews from his Rams coaches and teammates in practice. But his most recent take on Twitter may give some fans pause on crowning him a breakout star for the Rams.
Nacua responded to a tweet asking people to pick a starting five from this group of six NBA legends: LeBron James, Michael Jordan, Steph Curry, Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant and Shaquille O’Neal.
Nacua must have forgotten which city he now plays in because he picked Kobe – a Los Angeles icon – to come off the bench instead of Durant, while adding salt in the wound by writing it was an easy choice.
This is to easy!! Kobe got to take a seat here. Curry 1. Jordan 2. Bron 3. Kd 4. Shaq 5. https://t.co/MmSJ5FnSUu

Puka you’re in LA now homie. If you want this fan base to love you, don’t ever speak any negativity on Kobe. Kobe is an LA legend. He’s the greatest LA athlete of the last twenty years.

Damn Puka I was just starting to like you, kid. lol. There is no way Kobe going to the bench in this group. It's either Stef or KD.

Dude Puka. Sorry bro, but how you leaving Kobe on the bench over KD? Prime Kobe was almost unstoppable.

Some actually agreed with Puka’s take by picking KD over Kobe. They were tougher to find than those calling him out for his starting five, but at least some backed up the Rams receiver.
Puka knows ball
