The Los Angeles County Public Defender’s office has announced that they are offering on-the-ground support for individuals who were arrested on the UCLA campus during an operation to remove a protest encampment. While the office has not been briefed on the specific charges that the arrestees may face, LA County Public Defender Ricardo D. García stated, 'We are closely monitoring the situation and have deployed our Rapid Response Team to provide on-the-ground support to arrestees. It is essential that due process and the presumption of innocence are upheld. We will work diligently to protect the rights of our clients throughout this process.'
