Kyogo's post-Celtic woes continue with international blow

Kyogo's post-Celtic woes have today continued.

The striker left the Scottish Premiership champions in January as he joined Rennes in a £9m deal.

Both Reo Hatate and Daizen Maeda were listed among the substitutes for the country's game against Bahrain.

However, despite being in the squad, Kyogo was NOT included in the starting XI nor on the bench for the World Cup qualifier.

Kyogo was consistently overlooked by the Japan national team during his time at Celtic - including their squad for the 2022 World Cup.
