Kyogo offered Celtic return timeline as Ange Postecoglou tells fans 'read what you like' from David Turnbull comeback

David Turnbull is set to return to the Celtic squad on Saturday - and Ange Postecoglou has has hinted Kyogo Furuhashi might not be far behind.

Turnbull is in the running to feature against Ross County having been sidelined with a hamstring injury since hobbling off in the Premier Sports Cup Final win in December last year.

He will be joined by Liel Abada and Jota as they return from injury, but James Forrest misses out for Celtic with a minor knock.

However, Kyogo was the name on everyone's mind having been spotted by eagle-eyed fans training at Lennoxtown.

The Japanese international has been missing with a hamstring tear - the same injury suffered by Turnbull - since the Boxing Day clash with St Johnstone.

Postecoglou reckons that could offer some clue as to when the forward is ready to return.

Speaking ahead of the clash with Ross County, he said: "Jota and Liel Abada are all good. They've trained all week. They missed Monday night, but they are all good.

" David Turnbull is available. He has trained for the last 10 days. He is available.

"The only one not available is Jamesy Forrest from the other night, but it's nothing too serious.

"David was fantastic for us in the first half of the year. It's disappointing for him that he got a fairly significant injury that has kept him out for a while.

Celtic's David Turnbull and Kyogo Furuhashi could feature in the Europa Conference League (SNS Group)

"I know he is itching to get back. He has trained really well. I maybe went a bit conservative with him; I could have thrown him in last week.

"But he will be important for us. He adds something to our team."

When pushed on the return of Kyogo after the international break, Postecoglou went on: "Yeah, not sure.

"We will just wait and see. I said a while back, if you go by timelines Dave got injured before Kyogo so you can read into that what you like.

"He is working through his rehab and I'm sure he will be available soon."
