Celtic talisman Kyogo Furhashi has made a triumphant return to former club Vissel Kobe as he turned out during a training session for his former club.
The 27-year-old enjoyed the same fanfare at Kobe he's earned at Parkhead and couldn't resist putting on his old colours again. Kyogo didn't stick to a quick hello as he put his old training gear on and pushed the pace during a session. And the Celtic striker was spotted with football icon Andres Iniesta as the duo were pictured stretching during the session. The Barcelona legend is a major admirer of his former team-mate and tipped him for big things before he sealed his move to Glasgow last summer.
Kyogo will have extra time off as he is among the Hoops contingent who turned out for their national teams during the recent glut of fixtures after last season came to an end. The forward finished the season with a flurry after a serious hamstring injury cost him four months of his debut campaign.
And bigger is set to follow as he is primed to spearhead Ange Postecoglou 's attack in the Champions League. He is primed to be joined by pal Jota, as the winger is on the verge of completing his £6.5m transfer from Benfica in the coming days.
But the chance to star in football's biggest tournament isn't fazing him, as he lapped up every minute of his emotional return to his former club.
He is set to receive an applause from Kobe supporters before their game with Urawa Red Diamonds on Sunday night.
