Former Celtic striker Kyogo Furuhashi sees his difficult start to life at Rennes as a positive, in the hope that it will put him in good stead going forward.
The Japan international completed a surprise mid-season switch from Parkhead to the north of France, but so far, his move hasn't worked out.
The centre-forward has made just four appearances for his new club, failing to score in the process.

Although many might view Furuhashi's start to life in Britanny as frustrating, he takes an alternative view on things: "It’s been a difficult time, but little by little, my playing time is increasing," he said (Record).
"I’m having fun training well and getting a lot of stimulation, so I think I’m having a really good time. I think I can make use of this feeling of frustration no matter where I am.
"I’m currently thinking positively and continuing to battle to improve. In the midst of all of this, I think it’s important to show my skills as much as possible in training.
"As I said before, I think it’s really good that I’m experiencing this disappointment like this. I want to shine as much as I can, prepare well and be able to perform well when I’m on the field."
Furuhashi has been called up to play for Japan this month as they look to make sure of their place at the 2026 World Cup.
The forward is joined by his old Celtic teammates Daizen Maeda and Reo Hatate in Hajime Moriyasu's squad as they prepare to face Bahrain and Saudi Arabia this month.
