Confident Frank McAvennie reckons a timely Kyogo Furuhashi injury return would shake Rangers ahead of their Celtic showdown.
The striker has been out since sustaining a hamstring injury at St Johnstone on Boxing Day but could be in line for a return for derby day having been spotted in Lennoxtown training.
Kyogo has stated his is nearing full fitness but it remains to be seen if Ange Postecoglou will throw the striker in for the top of the table Premiership clash.
However, former Celtic striker McAvennie believes even naming the attacker on the bench could help win the mental battle.
He told Football Insider : “ Celtic 's strikers have been doing so well.
“Even without Kyogo, Giakoumakis and Maeda have been doing the business.
“It still looks like he will be back for these games against Rangers and that is brilliant for us.
“Just having him there will rattle Rangers a bit. They will know he’s ready, waiting on the bench for his moment.
“That will be a massive blow to that team because their defence has been far from solid recently.”
