Kyogo addresses Celtic to Spurs transfer speculation

Kyogo has addressed speculation surrounding his Celtic future.

The 28-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Tottenham this summer, with Ange Postecoglou keen to reunite with the Japanese star in North London.

The Japan international has been the Hoops talisman since he joined nearly two years ago in the summer of 2021.

And he certainly enjoyed his best season to date with 34 goals in 50 games for Celtic in the 2022/23 campaign.

But with his goalscoring exploits, inevitably some hefty interest has followed.

Postecoglou wants the diminutive striker at Spurs to help bolster their squad ahead of the new Premier League season.

And while fans will be clinging on this summer hoping that he stays put in Glasgow, Kyogo admits he's not given his future a single thought at this time.

Asked directly, speaking to Japanese outlet Sponichi, he said: "I don't know what it is (Spurs speculation).

"I'm (with) national team now, so I want to concentrate on these two races (games) without thinking about it."

Meanwhile, Celtic star Reo Hatate is reportedly being monitored by Tottenham.

The 25-year-old was signed for the Scottish champions by Ange Postecoglou in January 2022.

And it would now appear that he could be on his way with the Australian to North London this summer.

The 57-year-old last week penned a four-year deal with Spurs, just days after leading Celtic to a domestic treble.
