Kym Marsh and her lookalike daughter Emilie were flooded with compliments as they posed side-by-side at a star-studded event. Former Coronation Street star Kym, 46, and 25-year-old Emilie wowed at a VIP night for their friend, celebrity makeup artist Sally Rowe.
The glam mother and daughter dazzled at Sakku Samba at Manchester's Spinningfields on Thursday night for launch of Sally Rowe Beauty’s Hero Collection by Lashed. Make-up artist turned beauty mogul Sally, who has worked as a leading celebrity MUA for over 10 years, was joined by a host of VIP guests to celebrate the occasion – some of which had inspired Sally when designing her false lash collection.
Long-time client Kym was proud of singer Emilie, who gave a special performance ahead of her album launch later this year, impressing guests with renditions of her new original songs. "Such an amazing night for @sallyrowebeauty @sallyrowemua hero lash collection launch. I’m so very proud of you Sal!" said Kym in a heartfelt message on her Instagram as she posted a smiling snap of herself and Emilie on her Instagram.

And she said: "Also super proud of my girl @listentoemilie for performing her own music for the first time at the event! She absolutely SMASHED IT!!! All in all it was a fabulous evening!"
Joining Kym for the beauty bash were her former Coronation Street co-stars Katie McGlynn, who played the late Sinead Osbourne, and Tanisha Gorey, who plays Asha Alahan. They posed up a storm alongside the new stars of the revived hit BBC show Waterloo Road including Sonia Ibrahim, Ryan Clayton, and Hollie-Jay Bowes.
Pregnant former Hollyoaks star Jazmine Franks looked radiant as she showed off her growing baby bump and was joined by fellow Channel Four soap actress Haiesha Mistry and The Apprentice star Amy Anzel. Also on the VIP guestlist were BBC Radio Manchester’s breakfast host Anna Jameson and Emma Neville, the wife of Manchester United legend and pundit Gary Neville.
Emma is one of several celebrities that have a lash within Sally’s collection named after them, alongside Kym and fellow Corrie favourite Catherine Tyldesley. The event featured a catwalk showcase of Sally’s hero collection, which featured eight everyday women who were also used across her brand campaign.
During her speech Sally, who has worked on red carpet events including the BAFTAs and Pride of Britain Awards, magazine shoots and TV shows including the consumer series For Love or Money presented by Kym, shared how important it was to her that the campaign only included real women and not models. And she shared that the catalyst behind her collection was her favourite go-to lash being discontinued.
Kym, who won an army of supporters as she tore up the dancefloor on Strictly Come Dancing last year, dazzled in a semi-sheer diamanté top at the launch. She teamed her glitzy top with a black pencil skirt and strappy heels.
The star, who played Michelle Connor in Corrie from 2006 to 2019 and has joined the rebooted Waterloo Road as dinner lady Nicky Walters, completed her look with her hair worn in soft curls.
Emilie had flashbulbs popping in a one-shouldered black velvet jumpsuit. She styled her long brunette tresses in curls and added towering heels. Belle of the ball Sally wore a stunning white gown with cut-out details and Katie also looked chic in a dusty pink blazer and matching flared trousers, her blonde locks worn in Hollywood-style waves.
Last month it was announced that Kym and Emilie are both set to star in the Take That musical Greatest Days, playing the same character in two different stages of their life. Kym will play Rachel while Emilie will star as Young Rachel in the musical which celebrates the songs and fans of the Manchester-formed band Take That.
The musical heads out on a major UK tour in May, which will coincide with the summer 2023 release of the official movie version of the show. The tour will also celebrate the 30th anniversary of Take That's first every UK number one single Pray.
On Saturday night Kym and Emilie teamed up again for a cause close to their hearts. Kym hosted the Saying Goodbye Charity Ball for the the Mariposa Trust, a charity that provides support to anyone who has suffered the loss of a baby at any stage of pregnancy, at birth or in infancy, and Emilie sang at the ball in London.
Kym, an ambassador for the charity, went through the devastating loss of her baby boy Archie, with her ex husband Jamie Lomas, in 2009 at 21 weeks of pregnancy. The actress won huge praise for the harrowing Corrie storyline in 2017 which saw her character Michelle go through the devastating loss of her baby Ruairi at 23 weeks after suffering similar heartbreak in real life.
"I have the pleasure and honour to be hosting the @mariposatrust @sayinggoodbye_charity ball," Kym wrote on her Instagram as she shared a gorgeous snap of herself and Emilie in sleek black gowns for the occasion to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the charity.
"A babyloss charity that is very close to my heart and that I am ambassador of. Tonight I am so proud that my girl @listentoemilie will be singing at the event and we will be doing all we can to help raise money for this wonderful charity!" she wrote.
The compliments came flooding in for the photos marking the ladies' eventful couple of days. davidgilson24 told Kym, who has three grandchildren: "You look amazing and you don't look old enough to be a grandma." And ashmanasharon praised: "Your both two of the most beautiful women in the UK."
Corrie star Georgia Taylor, who plays Toyah Battersby, gasped: "Bloody hell Kymbo. The genes in your family!!" And swannyboy2 remarked: "You look like sisters."
