It has been a week of drama so far. First Olivia Attwood is forced to leave the Jungle just hours in to the start of the new I'm a Celebrity, now Kym Marsh pulls out of presenting duties on BBC's Morning Live. The news came after wowing audiences on Strictly Come Dancing over the weekend.
The former Coronation Street star (Kym played Michelle Connor for 13 years in the soap) and her professional dance partner Graziano Di Prima wowed judges at the weekend and came a close joint second on the leader board after their Argentine tango to John Powell’s Assassin’s Tango. Wearing all black, the pair secured a score of 37 with a routine filled with lifts and high kicks.
The pair even ended up getting their first 10, awarded by judge Anton Du Beke, who praised Kym, 46, her intensity and said he “loved it". Head judge Shirley Ballas said she felt it was “by far one of the most accomplished routines" she has seen Kym perform, while Craig Revel Horwood noted that apart from Marsh’s raised shoulders he felt it was "absolutely perfect". Kym's response to the praise was: "I could cry".

Kym and Graziano's performance ensured they made it through to week eight but their celebrations following the results on Sunday night (November 6) have already been hit by a stumbling block, reported Manchester Evening News. By Monday, Kym was unable to host the latest episode of BBC's Morning Live with Gethin Jones.
Gethin and Oti Mabuse, who had stepped in to replace the usual host, declared she "caught a bug". They were given a health update by Kym who appeared on the BBC One show via video link. Kym told the hosts she was determined to recover so she could dance again on Saturday evening with her partner Graziano.
Gethin began: "Good morning, usually I would be joined by Kym Marsh on the swivel chair but unfortunately Kym isn't feeling great so Oti Mabuse has stepped in and it's always lovely to see you".
The host revealed Kym was on the phone with her doctor on Sunday night as she was not feeling well. He said: "We thought we would give her a call this morning to see how she is doing after Saturday night." Kym, wearing a cosy pink jumper, then appeared speaking live from her Warrington home.
She said: "I'm all right, I just caught a little bug off one of the children, unfortunately. I caught it yesterday on the train on the way home so that was nice." Gethin appeared concerned about Kym being dance-fit for the next show.
But she optimistically replied: "Yeah, I will be, I will pull myself through. It's only one of those 24-hour things and I think you have got to get out there and do it no matter what, even if you've got bits dropping off. You've got to get out there and go for it, otherwise what happens?"
