Kym Marsh hosts Pride of Manchester Awards - featuring Little Mix and Olly Murs

Pride of Manchester is back - and you're invited.

Due to covid restrictions the glitzy ceremony, complete with star-studded red carpet, will look a little different this year.

But there are still the unsung heroes across Manchester who deserve to be honoured, so this time the awards will be brought to them.

And for the first time, the MEN Pride of Manchester Awards, in partnership with TSB, will be broadcast live on Facebook.

There will be no shortage of famous faces in the show, hosted by Kym Marsh, with everyone from Little Mix to Olly Murs celebrating the winners - within social distancing and lockdown rules of course.

Other celebrities taking part include Jack P Shepherd, Lisa Riley, Bear Grylls, Shirley Ballas, Bez, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Sue Johnston, Sir Ian McKellen, John Thompson and Joanna Lumley.

The real stars of the show are the winners and their heartwarming, uplifting and inspirational stories.

Sharing her excitement to host the awards for the second year running, Kym said "I’m so thrilled to be coming back to Manchester for the most amazing night of the year - the second Pride of Manchester Awards.

It’s the city’s most glamorous event, and I know from last year, the audience in May will be packed with famous actors, singers, TV presenters, and sporting heroes from this brilliant city and beyond."

She went on: "It is going to be such an honour to meet them, and help to celebrate their astonishing achievements.

"From inspirational fundraisers to heroic members of our emergency services and courageous children and young people, they are all so different, but they all share one quality - they are hugely modest about what they have done."

Watch the ceremony this Thursday at 7pm on the Pride of Britain Facebook Live channel
