Neighbours fans and former stars were devastated last year as the show announced it was to be axed after 37 years on-screen.
The Australian soap welcomed back a host of famous faces for the "last ever" episode of the long-running drama as time on Ramsay Street came to an end.
The hit show catapulted many to fame over the years and such was the pull of the show, the likes of Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan felt they had to make an appearance on before the soap was no more.
But now, under a year after apparently calling time on the soap, it's set to be resurrected on streaming giant Amazon.
And the decision seems to have left a bitter taste for many of the former stars who returned for the nostalgia aspect.
Sources in Melbourne, where Neighbours was filmed, have claimed pop superstar Kylie feels "duped" after returning.
The songstress, 54, rose to fame on the show as Charlene Robinson between 1986 and 1988. An insider told Mail On Sunday : "Kylie has apparently got a bit of the hump about it all. It's a case of why did she and others make the effort to go back. She and the others were told it was the end.
"She knows what she owes to Neighbours and she would have always done it, but it does all seem a little baffling."
The comments come after Kylie joined former on-screen hubby Jason, 54, for the "final" scenes in July last year.
Another star also criticised the show's return. Hollywood actor Guy Pierce returned to Ramsay Street for the final three episodes of the previous tenure and the 55-year-old has hit out at the show's producers.
He called the initial finale "hard to watch" before saying any return to the screen would make the edition "look like a rather expensive exercise".
He added: "I don't want to say waste of time. But still."
The original decision to axe Neighbours was due to the production company Fremantle and Channel 5 failing to reach a new deal.
However, last month brought the news that Amazon Freevee were now stepping in to revive the popular soap.
And despite how Kylie is said to be feeling, it has been teased that she might make a return when the show picks back up.
Stefan Dennis told Good Morning Britain earlier this week we should "never say never" to a return of Kylie and some of the star's biggest names from years gone by. "Look what’s happened with the show," he teased.
