Kylie Minogue has split from her British boyfriend after a five-year relationship, according to reports.
The popstar, 54, is said to have broken up with GQ executive Paul Solomons ahead of her world tour – but the pair remain on good terms.
A source close to Solomons told The Sun: “Long distance isn’t easy for any couple.
“Kylie and Paul really tried to make things work but ultimately the time difference was a killer - Paul couldn’t exactly nip to Melbourne for a long weekend whenever things got strained.
“Kylie initially wanted to keep the split quiet though as she really does not want the narrative to be ‘poor, unlucky-in-love-Kylie’s heartbreak’s again’.”
The source added that Minogue was not “moping around” or “heartbroken” and that the pair “remain friends”.
There are no pictures of Solomons on the pop singer’s Instagram page.
Minogue, who lives in Australia, has previously said that she is “used to” having a long-distance relationship.
She said in February: “What is difficult is explaining it and I’m hovering around that right now because I don’t have a traditional set-up when it comes to my relationship.
“I don’t have the white-picket-fence life. We are in a very good space and we cherish that right now. We use the term ‘fluid and pivoting.”
Representatives of Minogue have been contacted for comment.
Minogue and Solomons met through mutual friends in 2018 and spent nine months apart during the Covid pandemic.
Solomons stayed in London while Minogue remained in her hometown of Melbourne.
Minogue explained that she had made the decision in order to be closer to her family.
She told BBC 2 host Zoe Ball: "I have spent a lot of time with my family this year in Australia and it felt really good and I have been talking about that for a while.”
