Kylie Minogue's ex breaks silence after split as fans urge him to 'work it out'

Kylie Minogue's ex Paul Solomons has broken his silence after the rumoured end of their five year relationship.

The pop music icon, 54, is believed to have called time on her romance with GQ exec Paul Solomons a year after she returned to back home to Australia while he remains in the UK.

Taking to Instagram, Paul shared a single red heart emoji - prompting fans to share their relationship advice.

"Work it out," one commented.

"Go to Australia with her," another added.

"Hope you guys are both alright," a third wrote.

The last time Kylie and Paul were pictured together was back in May, when the lovebirds walked the red carpet of the ABBA Voyage together.

A source close to former GQ executive Paul has claimed that the pair 'just couldn't make things work'.

"Long distance isn’t easy for any couple. Kylie and Paul really tried to make things work but ultimately the time difference was a killer - Paul couldn’t exactly nip to Melbourne for a long weekend whenever things got strained," they shared.

"Kylie initially wanted to keep the split quiet though as she really does not want the narrative to be ‘poor, unlucky-in-love-Kylie’s heartbreak’s again," the source told The Sun.

The source added that Kylie is a 'powerful, hugely successful woman' - and she isn't going to let her heartbreak get in the way of her future.

Although they have split, Kylie and Paul remain friends, according to the insider.

Kylie is also said to be 'hugely excited' about starting a new chapter in her life ahead of her world tour.

It comes as Kylie appears to have removed all trace of Paul from her Instagram grid.

Kylie and Paul first hit it off back in 2018 when they met through mutual pals.

While their romance seemed to be going swimmingly for years, in 2021, the pair faced heartache amid the Covid pandemic when they were forced to spend more than nine months apart.

While Kylie was back in her hometown of Melbourne, Paul was holed up at home in London.

Lifting the lid on her long-distance relationship with Paul last year, Kylie said: "I’m quite used to it. What is difficult is explaining it and I’m hovering around that right now because I don’t have a traditional set-up when it comes to my relationship.

"I don’t have the white-picket-fence life. We are in a very good space and we cherish that right now. We use the term ‘fluid and pivoting."

Kylie's representatives declined comment when approached by The Mirror.
