In spite of countless folks decrying the excessive use of private jets by ultra-wealthy celebs due to the devastating effects they have on the environment for yonks now, it looks like celebrities have yet to get the hint (or more accurately, they don’t really care).
One celebrity heavily criticised for her private jet use is Kylie Jenner, who has recently been under scrutiny after her thanking firefighters in an Instagram Story – due to her using her jet 11 times in the past two weeks, despite the ongoing fires.

These 11 trips have already released around 162 CO2 emissions into the environment, and on one occasion, Jenner used the jet three times in one single day.
Jenner, according to Celebrity Private Jet Tracker, used her private jet almost 200 times in 2024, and was one of the worst CO2 contributors (via private jet usage) of the year.
The internet has responded to Jenner’s Story, with Redditors expressing their disdain to the billionaire’s “disgusting” comments.
“I find it less offensive when the private jet owner is at least traveling some distance with it. She’s just going across town,” writes one Reddit user.

The 2024 Super Bowl saw the second most amount of private jet usage in history, with 882 flights occurring on one single day, according to CNS.
Other celebrities who have been heavily criticised for their lavish private jet trips include the likes of Taylor Swift, Kim Kardashian, Travis Scott, Donald Trump, and Bill Gates – with the latter’s two combined plane emissions measuring up to over 9000 metric tons (and counting).

The LA fires have led to a death toll of at least 27, with at least 18 other individuals presumed missing.
As reported by The LA Times, over 11,000 people have evacuated due to the California wildfires, with 3,856 structures destroyed.
49 per cent of the wildfire has been contained as of January 18.
