Kylie Jenner shocked fans by turning up in what looked like a wedding dress at this year’s Met Gala.
The beauty mogul donned the white ruffled floor length gown for fashion’s biggest night of the year.
In a bizarre twist she teamed it with a white backwards baseball cap complete with fishnet veil.
The top half of the dress had a white sweetheart neckline bodice with a mesh T-shirt over it.
The word ‘OFF’ was emblazoned across her chest, leaving fans scratching their heads as to what it all means.
So was it all in the name of fashion or was it a hint the mum-of-two has secretly got married?

Either way, fans were not too impressed with Kylie’s red carpet look – with many blasting her for not adhering to this year’s Met Gala theme.
One tweeted: “Kylie Jenner never follows the theme. This year is "Gilded Glamour"... what's about a baseball cap is gilded Glamour? Idk, she could choose everything she wants and that's it. A white bride dress for the most important red carpet of the year! #MetGala."
Another said: “I had faith in kylie …. but the girl wore a CAP!!! #MetGala #MetGala2022.”
“KYLIE JENNER IS WEARING A BASEBALL CAP?!?!?!? DID THEY EVEN EXIST DURING THE GILDED AGE?!?! #MetGala,” a third commented.
While a fourth chimed in: “Nah whoever let Kylie wear that hat to the met hates her deeply #MetGala2022.”
Memes comparing her to the Homer Simpson bride also started circulating on social media.
While fans didn’t get it, it seems there was a deeper meaning to Kylie’s outfit which was appreciated by the fashion set.
The word ‘OFF’ meant it was designed by Off-White founder Virgil Abloh.
The late fashion designer, who was also creative director for Louis Vuitton, passed away in November at the age of 41 after a two-year battle with cancer.
Posting a tribute to him on Instagram, Kylie wrote: "Virgil and i were supposed to go to the Met together before it got postponed in 2020. To celebrate V tonight and his incredible legacy truly means the world to me. I’m humbled to wear this dress and honor my talented beautiful friend. We felt you tonight Virgil and love you forever & thank u to the entire @off____white team !!."
Although the bridal gown didn’t appear to tie in with the gilded glamour dress code, it apparently honoured the Met’s exhibition inside the event, which explores American fashion.
Fashion bible Vogue praised the outfit choice and said: “By wearing a wedding gown to the Met – and making it youthful, graphic and wholly unexpected – Jenner channelled the irreverent spirit that Abloh perfected throughout his career. It was a classy tribute to one of the greatest American talents in fashion.”
Kylie’s outfit was not the only one making the headlines at last night’s star-studded event.
Big sister Kim Kardashian made her red carpet debut with beau Pete Davidson in a gold gown once worn by Marilyn Monroe.
