Kylian Mbappe let his football do the talking for Paris Saint-Germain, scoring in a 1-1 draw in the Champions League on Tuesday night, but questions over his future remain.
The 23-year-old has been at the centre of intense transfer speculation since details of his wish to leave France emerged earlier this year, and before his side's match against Benfica he once again stole the limelight as Marca reported that the World Cup winner was still desperate to leave.
It has been expected for a while that Mbappe's next destination would be Real Madrid, but Marca say he won't be joining Los Blancos, alerting watchers from other major clubs that could snap up the superstar next summer.

Chelsea, who have previous ties to Mbappe, are one of those clubs and given Todd Boehly's determination to make a statement signing for the club, amid the links with Cristiano Ronaldo, the Blues could find themselves in the mix to be his next club.
Despite only signing a new contract earlier this year, Mbappe has grown unhappy at PSG, but his goalscoring continues to astonish. He has four goals in four Champions League games and eight in nine league matches too, not allowing the speculation to put him off.
Before he took to the pitch to face Benfica, Rio Ferdinand sent a message to Mbappe though, asking him to address the situation. "Kylian, we talk a lot, come to me, speak to me," Ferdinand said. "Just come to me, we will do a one to one, and you spoke perfect English. Let’s get this done, crush all the rumours and get back to playing football."
The longer Mbappe's future is in the air, then the more the rumours will emerge and spread. Whether or not the France international is someone who could fit into Graham Potter's side is up for debate. His work rate off the ball has been questioned and Chelsea have already seen the effect of that up close with Rafael Leao's failed audition across two legs.
With the winter World Cup still to be played, any decision on his future is likely going to have to wait, but Boehly and Chelsea will be one of many teams waiting in the wings, according to French football expert Julien Laurens, who claimed that the club would be one of many options, with the forward looking for a footballing and financial project to join next.
