Kylian Mbappe has told Liverpool what they missed out on with in-form striker Evan Ferguson.
The Reds may have been linked with a move for the Paris Saint-Germain forward on and off over the last few years. And when Mbappe speaks, people tend to listen to what he has to say.
Some of the latest comments from Mbappe concern a player Liverpool fans may be familiar with. Brighton striker Evan Ferguson is getting ready to go up against Mbappe while on international duty.

France take on the Republic of Ireland in a Euro 2024 qualifier on Monday evening in Dublin. Ferguson has been a star player for Brighton this term, and is set to lead the line for Ireland.
However, things could have been quite different. The Seagulls frontman was at one time a trialist at Liverpool, before he opted to join Brighton in January 2021 from Bohemians.
During his time in Ireland, Ferguson went to the UK to try and sign for a Premier League club. As well as Liverpool, Ferguson also had trials at Everton, Manchester United and also Scottish Premiership giants Celtic.
And now he has come to the attention of Mbappe, who praised the forward, a player who could have been on the books at Liverpool had things turned out differently.
Speaking in a pre-match press conference on Sunday ahead of the Republic of Ireland vs France, Mbappe said. "We watched some of his plays, he's a very good striker. We'll be very wary of him and, hopefully, we won't see him much."
He added: "They're a team who play with three at the back. "We tend to think that they are a combative team. We'll need to be careful, but also attack-minded and aggressive."
France manager Didier Deschamps has also explained why his side will need to be wary of Ferguson’s quality.
"There is a new Ireland generation now with new players,” said Deschamps.
“Ferguson poses a threat, a good player. Johnston as well has joined the team. It is a mix of young and experienced players.
"Ireland are known for being direct and vertical in how they play but from what I’ve seen in recent games they are capable of playing the ball along the ground as well. Of course, they have a new coach who arrived in 2020 as well."
