Kylian Mbappe sweet on Arsenal as Real Madrid see No.1 target fall for Arteta's EPL 'revolution'

Mikel Arteta could be ready to upsurge Real Madrid in an extraordinary move for Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe, according to reports.

The Frenchman has been one of the world's most coveted players ever since his breakthrough at Monaco aged 17, moving to PSG for the second-highest fee of all-time behind their plunge for Neymar before the 2018 World Cup - and he hasn't looked back since. Moves to Liverpool, Real Madrid and more have been touted for the speedster with pedigree of 212 goals in 260 apperances for Les Parisiens speaking for itself.

But should Mbappe seek a move away, it may not be frontrunners Real who take his signature. A plethora of clubs could well be interested in the winger, and he has already proven time and time again that he can do it against English opposition. And, according to the Independent, Mikel Arteta's Arsenal could be the club he prefers in the Premier League - marking a stunning turn of events for the Gunners.

The publication states that Arsenal would be Mbappe's preferece if he was to ever to move to the Premier League as he enjoys the evolution of Mikel Arteta's side and the long-term plan that the Spaniard has put in place at the Emirates. The challenge of moving to the club to win them the Premier League again after what is now a 20-year hiatus could excite the French hitman.

Of course, he will be viewed by many as beyond Arsenal's budget; not only in transfer fee, but in terms of wages given that he is on an eye-watering sum of over £600,000 per week in the French capital.

There has been no contact between the two clubs, as much of it will depend on if Arsenal can summon the financial firepower to register their interest officially with the Parisiens.
