Kylian Mbappe next club odds as Liverpool tipped ahead of Manchester City, Chelsea and more

Rumours of Kylian Mbappe's future have been reignited amid reports that the French forward is unhappy at Paris Saint-Germain and plotting his January departure.

The 23-year-old signed a new deal with the Ligue 1 giants in the summer after failing to secure a move to Real Madrid, who PSG were adamant they would not deal with, but also revealed he and Liverpool had 'talked a little bit'. And despite an excellent start to the new season - PSG are top of the league with eight wins and Mbappe has 11 goals in 12 games across all competitions - the young forward is seemingly unhappy with the tactical outlook of manager Christophe Gaultier

Reports suggest that PSG would have allowed Mbappe to leave in the summer, but refused to do business with Champions League rivals Madrid. But as the World Cup winner once again angles for a move away, Madrid - along with the likes of the Reds, Chelsea and Manchester City - will no doubt be keeping tabs on the situation.

Unsurprisingly, Carlo Ancelotti's side are favourites to land Mbappe at 5/4, having held a long-term interest in the striker and being one of few clubs financially able to broker a deal. Los Blancos had reportedly offered €200million in August 2021 alongside an €800,000-per-week salary, although PSG ignored their approaches.

Jurgen Klopp's side are second favourites at 6/4, with Mbappe's admission that he and the club had held talks no doubt shortening those odds. The Reds are in need of fresh legs and energy after a poor start to the season, and are mooted in today's reports as potentially the 'only option', but whether they have the same spending power as Madrid remains to be seen.

One team who definitely have that power is Chelsea, with new owner Todd Boehly already spending over £250million in his first window in charge at Stamford Bridge. The American businessman was reportedly trying to convince Thomas Tuchel of the benefits of signing Cristiano Ronaldo over the summer - a hint of his desire to land a marquee signing which could define his tenure - but will find plenty more logic in a January move for Mbappe at 8/1.

Manchester City, Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Arsenal and Tottenham are also tipped to be involved in the race, while former club Monaco - whom PSG signed Mbappe from for around €180 million in 2018 - are rank outsiders at 50/1.

All the odds are below (as per Betfair):

Real Madrid: 5/4
Liverpool: 6/4
Chelsea: 8/1
Man City: 10/1
Man Utd, Bayern Munich: 12/1
Arsenal: 14/1
Tottenham: 33/1
Monaco: 50/1
