Kylian Mbappe deletes Instagram post criticising PSG amid ongoing Neymar feud

Kylian Mbappe has deleted an Instagram story after appearing to have a dig at Paris Saint-Germain for the way he is being used at the club.

The 23-year-old has been used through the middle as a central forward at the start of the season, with Neymar typically off the left and Lionel Messi coming in from the right-wing. However, with Messi injured and Neymar rested, Mbappe started alongside Carlos Soler and Paulo Sarabia as a front-three in PSG's goalless draw with Reims on Saturday night.

A depleted PSG side were frustrated throughout and couldn't break down a compact Reims defence, although Christophe Galtier's side did play the final 50 minutes with 10-men. Sergio Ramos was shown two yellow cards in quick succession for arguing with the referee shortly before half-time.

It is only the second time this season the Ligue 1 leaders, who are three points ahead of second-placed Marseille, have dropped points. Mbappe was visibly frustrated at the final whistle as he drew a blank and he vented his frustration on social media after the game.

Mbappe posted a picture of himself with the hashtag 'pivot gang' on his Instagram story. According to Get French Football News, that's a reference to the France international not wanting to play up front alone. In the same post, Mbappe said, as translated in English: "Draw, meeting Tuesday."

For his country, Mbappe plays up front alongside Olivier Giroud rather than out wide. The pair both scored in France's 2-0 win over Austria last month, with Antoine Griezmann playing in the No.10 role.

But there isn't much Galtier can do to suit Mbappe and play him alongside a target man. Hugo Ekiteke is the club's only recognised striker at the moment after Mauro Icardi joined Galatasaray on loan in the summer transfer window, and the 20-year-old is just getting used to PSG's style before he is used more often.

This is occurring amid Mbappe and Neymar's feud, with the duo reportedly unhappy at the club. They clashed back in August after Neymar ignored the club's spot-kick rankings and refused to allow Mbappe to take a second penalty in their win over Montpellier. The Frenchman had already missed a penalty earlier in the match.

Reports claim that the row spilled into the dressing room after the final whistle, with Ramos forced to step in to separate the petulant pair. The incident also meant Galtier had call a team meeting to give the duo a dressing down.

Speaking last month, Mbappe said: "This is the sixth year with Neymar. We have always had a relationship like this, based on respect, but sometimes with warmer and colder moments. It is the nature of our relationship. I have a lot of respect for the player that he is.

"When you have two players with such a strong character, you have moments like that, but always with respect and in the interest of PSG."
