Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards has been facing a difficult time as she navigates her marital troubles in the public eye. Admitting that shooting the current season of the hit Bravo series hasn't been easy, the 55-year-old reality star expressed her eagerness for the season 13 finale to air and to put everything behind her.
'It's certainly not easy watching it all back and having to relive it all again,' Richards confessed to Entertainment Tonight. It's clear that she's been going through a challenging period, noting that while she's been open and honest with her RHOBH costars about the state of her marriage, there are still some things she prefers to keep private.
'I'm not hiding anything from anybody,' she emphasized. 'I'm working through things myself, and I'm going through something, and I want to be able to be as open as I possibly can, and I will be — when I figure it all out.'
While Richards and her husband Mauricio Umansky, 53, have been separated for seven months, they have yet to make a decision about whether to get divorced. The couple, who shares three daughters, Alexia, Sophia, and Portia, are still living under the same roof as they navigate this difficult time. Despite their separation, they have remained amicable and focused on figuring out what's best for themselves and their family.
The Real Housewives star acknowledges that their situation of living together as friends and co-parents might not be sustainable in the long run. She admits that it will come to a point where they either find a way to fix their issues or move forward with a divorce.
'This season, when I was struggling so much personally and I felt like people were coming at me when I really just needed friends and support, I really thought, how can I continue to do this?' Richards shared. 'Why would I put myself through this? I was already struggling so much in my personal life; why would I want to be tortured in front of the cameras and then have to relive this again in six months? But, obviously, one day the time will come where I say enough is enough.'
The toll of sharing her marriage troubles on camera has left Richards contemplating whether she should continue filming the show. Despite being part of the series for 13 seasons, she questions whether it's worth the emotional strain and public scrutiny.
'Every year, it's like, should I? Should I?' she revealed. 'I remember years ago saying, after season 5, I'm not doing any more. Here I am. But, you know, right now it doesn't sound so great. But I hate to even say that because who knows what I'm going to feel like in a month or two? I don't know.'
Richards is currently in a place where she's unsure of what the future holds. She remains open to various possibilities and is exploring what's next for her.
With the season finale fast approaching, fans of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills anxiously await the resolution of Richards' marital struggles. As the episodes unfold, viewers will continue to stand by the reality star and her family during this challenging time.
