Kyle Richards' separation from Mauricio Umansky is set to be addressed in the thirteenth season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
While filming for the season was wrapped months ago, it has now been reported that the longtime seemingly solid couple's split is so shocking and devastating that producers felt the need for cameras to continue rolling.
Bravo host Andy Cohen first teased the news that the aftermath of Richards and Umansky's relationship would feature in the next season.
"Um, what am I gonna say to this?" he began, responding to a listener's question on the Monday instalment of his SiriusXM "Radio Andy" broadcast show.
Clearly caught off guard, he continued: "What I will say is that, I think that, what I think that, that you will … oh God, I'm trying to be so kind of, well, no, I don't wanna say..."
He assured fans: "I wanna say that this will be included next season of 'Beverly Hills' in some way shape or form. That's all I'll say."
Meanwhile, a source has further elaborated on the decision to resume filming on the pair's relationship status, telling Page Six : "This development has rocked the Bravo world.
"Producers know fans want a glimpse into how Kyle and Mauricio came to this decision," it was added.
Earlier this month, it was reported that Real Housewives stars Kyle and Mauricio had separated, but the couple were soon quick to respond to the reports.
Both Kyle and Mauricio penned and shared a statement which said that it is "untrue" that they are divorcing, although they did admit to having a "rough year".
Kyle was even forced to deny that she was dating Morgan Wade mere days after the news breaking of her alleged split from husband Mauricio.
According to Page Six, Kyle spoke to paparazzi on Friday night while she drove her black Range Rover around West Hollywood. "We are very good friends," she said. Kyle was then asked is the rumours regarding a romantic relationship with Morgan were just rumours, with her confirming "yes".
RHOBH stars Kyle and Mauricio got engaged in the same year that they met, with them getting hitched in January 1996. Kyle and Mauricio then welcomed three daughters together - Alexia, 27, Sophia, 23 and Portia, 15.
The couple celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in January 2021, with the news of their alleged "separation" breaking at the start of the week when a source told People that they had been "separated for a while".
The source added that the couple are "still living under the same roof" and "remain amicable as they figure out what's next for them and their family".
