Kyle Magennis looks set to undergo surgery in the near future in a blow to Hibs.
The Easter Road side are set to welcome capital rivals Hearts to Leith tomorrow lunchtime in a huge derby showdown. Both sides are in a horror run of form with the match offering both sides a chance to recapture the feel good factor and bragging rights. Hearts have dropped to fourth and sacked Robbie Neilson on the back of a poor run of form with the Hibees needing big results to ensure a top six finish.
Just two games remain ahead of the league split with Hibs wanting to make sure they are in the top half and then start battling for European football in the final run-in. Victory over Hearts would keep their top six hopes in their own hands and could even assure them of a top end finish depending on results elsewhere.

Ahead of the derby, Johnson has confirmed the blow on Magennis while he's also provided news on other stars including Paul Hanlon, Lewis Stevenson and Rocky Bushiri.
He said: "On an individual basis, probably not Kyle, but certainly Rocky [Bushiri].
"Kyle’s struggling with a groin problem and he is probably going to go under the knife again, potentially in Germany or down at the Fortis clinic in the next couple of weeks.
"Him and Rocky are the main ones. I’d expect Paul Hanlon to be back post-split; Aiden McGeady is out as we know as is Martin.
“Lewis Stevenson has done really well and will be available for selection.
"We’ve got a couple of knocks this week so we need to see how they are, but we’ll be prepared."
