Kyle Larson secured his third Cup victory of the season at Sonoma Raceway, his home track located in picturesque wine country. The win, Larson's second on the rolling road course, marked his fifth road course victory of the 2021 season and propelled him to the top of the current series standings.

Larson's path to victory was not without challenges. After exiting the pits in eighth place following his final service stop with less than 30 laps remaining, he had to navigate his way to the front of the pack. It wasn't until eight laps from the finish that Larson regained the lead, ultimately clinching the win in his No. 5 Chevrolet.
