Whenever Kyle Hamilton and Lamar Jackson go against each other in practice, it is truly an example of strength versus strength. Hamilton is considered by many to be the best strong safety in the game, while Jackson is the NFL’s reigning MVP.
After the Ravens’ most recent practice was completed, Hamilton sat down with the NFL Network for a poignant interview.
During the Q&A, Hamilton paid Jackson the highest compliment possible.
“He is one of one,” the third-year defensive back said of the man ranked #2 in the NFL top 100 poll.
“I can say that confidently, there is nobody in the game, maybe in the history of the game that’s like him, at what he does and the way he does it.”
“People are surprised by his arm, but it’s something that can’t be taught- where he puts it (the ball). You got to put it in perspective as a DB, you’re covering these guys and he just puts it somewhere you can’t make a play on the ball.
“He’s just so impressive and I’m lucky I don’t have to play against him on Sundays.”
With high praise like that comes sky-high expectations. This upcoming season is Super Bowl or bust.
