Kyle Fox withdraws offer to take over Rangers

An American businesswoman has withdrawn her offer for Rangers.

US-based Kyle Fox has revealed she has taken her offer to buy a controlling stake in the Ibrox club off the table.

Head of KRF Capital, Ms. Fox claims negotiations had been ongoing for nine months.

It's said her ambition to buy into the club was met with resistance from a number of key Rangers shareholders. Douglas Park was included in this, having shown no indication of his willingness to sell his portion of the club.

Ms. Fox told BBC Scotland: "Our interest was predicated on certain conditions being met - those conditions were not met.

"Our letter of interest included gaining anti-dilution rights protection, two board seats, and access to the data room and management interviews. All were denied."

Rangers have been approached for comment.

It's believed that while Ms. Fox said she was withdrawing her offer completely, she remained open to talks in the future.

Meanwhile, Alan Hutton has detailed what he feels is a "must" for Rangers in the summer transfer window.

The former Gers right-back believes Michael Beale will add some extra firepower to his squad before the start of next season.

In fact, the ex-Scotland international reckons it's a necessity for his old side to bolster their frontline and add support to Antonio Colak up top.

Alfredo Morelos' deal is up this summer and it looks increasingly likely that the Colombian will be moving on to pastures new.
