Notts County captain Kyle Cameron has been named the Vanarama National League’s December Player of the month.
The Magpies defender led his side to four victories during the final month of 2022, with his effectiveness in both defence and attack resulting in Luke Williams' side sitting at the summit of the standings going into the new year.
He was particularly influential in Notts' dramatic 4-3 victory at Maidenhead, providing three assists at York Road including a marauding run and cross that allowed Macaulay Langstaff to net a dramatic late winner.

Cameron followed up with another assist in Notts' next game against Gateshead, nodding the ball down for Ruben Rodrigues to double the Magpies' lead at Meadow Lane.
And the 25-year-old linked up with the Portuguese midfielder once again in their Boxing Day victory against Oldham, watching on as his dangerous cross was eventually turned home by Rodrigues before playing a delightful crossfield pass for the playmaker to nod down for Cedwyn Scott to score.
Speaking to the club's website, head coach Luke Williams said: “We’re delighted that Cammy’s huge contribution at both ends of the pitch has been recognised in this way.
“As our fans will know, we expect our players to contribute to all aspects of the game regardless of their position and Kyle is a great example of someone who has really embraced that and thrived under the creative freedom we’ve given him.
“He’s a joy to watch when he’s in full flow and has tremendous quality in his delivery. Combined with all his defensive attributes, he’s a huge asset for us and a great fit for how we want to do things.”
Cameron is the second player to have scooped the monthly prize this season after Langstaff became the first in history to win it in consecutive months.
