Kyle Cameron has identified the full-back position as one of the most important roles in Notts County's rise to the National League summit this season.
The Magpies have continued to adopt with wing-backs this campaign under Luke Williams, with their influence highlighted this season through performances and statistics at the halfway stage of the season.
Adam Chicksen has bettered his goal-scoring tally for the entirety of his professional career this season, netting seven times as he becomes one of the first names on the team sheet for the Notts boss.

But following the Zimbabwean's injury in the Magpies' last league outing against Gateshead, the Notts captain operated in that full-back position, something he has experience with during his professional career.
Cameron's attacking qualities have been on show in recent weeks, providing four assists in two matches against the Heed and Maidenhead, including a hat-trick of those coming at York Road in their thrilling 4-3 win in Berkshire.
And the 25-year-old was quick to highlight the importance of the role Aaron Nemane, Tobi Adebayo-Rowling and Chicksen have played this campaign, insisting how influential the position is to Notts' system.
"It's incredibly tough, it's a lot of running and a lot of sprinting up and down the line," said Cameron.
"To be a winger and an attacker at the back post but to also get back and defend as a full-back, so like I say, centre back is my preferred position primarily, but I feel as though I can fill in that role which I do enjoy.
"The three lads that have played there this season have done incredibly well and it's important to keep them fresh and fit, so I don't mind every now and again if needs be if they need a rest.
"But I do know how hard it is to play in that position!"
On Tuesday evening, youngsters Madou Cisse and Lucien Mahovo were named on the bench for Notts' FA Trophy win over Chorley at Meadow Lane.
With Williams detailing the reasoning behind not introducing the pair into the action on the night, Cameron explained that the youngsters must continue to work hard as an opportunity to impress could come sooner than they expect.
"I think it's great for them and is great credit to those two lads on how they have been training and stepped up when being asked to play with the first-team.
"Of course they are probably going to be disappointed that they couldn't get on but as the gaffer said, if we had scored a couple more goals then they could have come on and helped us out and Madou could have made his debut.
"As long as they continue to work hard their time will come eventually this season.
"In the league, all it takes is a couple of injuries and they may have to be called upon or whether it is in the trophy, who knows.
"It is important for the lads to stay involved, keep training well and making sure they are there when called upon."
With their progression to the fourth round of the FA Trophy, it was confirmed Notts would play seven times during January, with their postponed match with Barnet also expected to be sandwiched in to their hectic fixture list.
With many fans suggesting going out of the competition could be considered a good thing, Cameron was quick to rubbish those claims and detail his aspirations of reaching Wembley on May 21.
"Definitely not, it's a game of football and we should never be going into a game of football wanting to lose and get knocked out of a competition.
"Up to now, we are the number one seeded side in the competition and we are the best team in the competition so we should be looking to win.
"In January, the trophy game is on a free weekend anyway so it just keeps momentum going for me and is something we should look to try to win.
"It's a trip to Wembley for the club, it will be a big day if we manage to get there but there is still a lot of games from now till then.
"It's important to keep winning games of football and doing the right things."
