Kuwait's Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah al-Khalid al-Sabah submitted on Tuesday the government's resignation to Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal al-Ahmed al-Jaber al-Sabah ahead of a no-confidence parliament vote scheduled on Wednesday against the prime minister.
The resignation followed a "non-cooperation" motion with the government.
The Crown Prince received the government's letter of resignation from the Prime Minister at the Bayan Palace, KUNA reported.
On November 23, 2021, the Emir of Kuwait had tasked Sheikh Sabah al-Khiled al-Sabah with forming the government.
