Kuwait's Minister of Public Works and State Minister for Youth Affairs Ali Al-Mousa said he would form an impartial investigation committee to probe the causes of the fire that broke out in part of the new Terminal 2 building at Kuwait International Airport.
The minister affirmed that those responsible for the fire will be held accountable when the investigation are concluded.
Al-Mousa visited the site on Monday and said that the committee will have two weeks to complete its mission.
Kuwait’s aviation authority assured that there had been no impact on air traffic operations.
Six firefighting teams were on the scene to battle the blaze, according to the Kuwait Fire Force.
The fire caused material damages. No casualties were reported.
