Kurt Warner’s Son, NFL Rookie Kade Warner, Roasts Doubters With Epic Tweet

Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback Kurt Warner’s older son, Kade Warner, recently was signed by the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent.

The Kansas State wide receiver posted his first message to fans since his signing Sunday. In doing so, he pointed out that some observers doubted his ability to succeed at the Division I level—much less his chances of reaching the NFL.

“Getting ready to move to Tampa Bay to start my NFL career and rookie OTAs, so I’m going through all my old junk,” the younger Warner said. “Just found my Nike HS football rating and it said I had less than a 10% chance to make it D1…”

Warner started his collegiate career with Nebraska for three seasons before transferring to Kansas State for his last two years of eligibility. During the Wildcats’ 2022 Big 12 championship season, Warner recorded career highs with 46 catches for 456 yards and five touchdowns.

In at least one way, the younger Warner is following in his father’s footsteps as an undrafted NFL player. He’s not the only Warner in the pipeline, though. Kade’s younger brother, E.J., enjoyed a successful freshman season as a quarterback at Temple, throwing for 3,028 yards with 18 touchdown passes in 2022.
