Kurt Geiger has collaborated with TfL on a new collection of handbags inspired by the London Underground.

The limited edition collection, which ranges in price from £49 to £269, is inspired by the colours of the Tube–perfect for adding a splash of rainbow to the morning commute.

From the TfL Kensington bag, which boasts all the colours of the Tube lines, to a cross body bag that features Central Line-red, Victoria Line-blue, and Bakerloo Line-brown, any Londoner is sure to instantly recognise the route that inspired the bag.

TfL fans can opt for a cardholder inspired by the Circle, District, and Piccadilly lines, or they could go for a cross body bag inspired by Hammersmith and City Line-Pink and District Line-green.

Other items in the range include a square shopper and a camera bag–with the latter featuring the cooler shades of the Jubilee, Northern, and Metropolitan lines.

Kurt Geiger has really paid homage to London’s public transport with their designs–each bag also comes with a charm in the shape of the TfL logo.

Rebecca Farrar-Hockley, Kurt Geiger London’s chief creative officer, said: “The London Underground is so recognisable that it is easy to overlook just how iconic it is.

“I wanted to create a collection suitable for busy, daily London lives but with the tube’s colours and symbols as the core design theme. It connects Londoners and everyone who comes here; it is the heartbeat of our city, enabling exploration and adventure.”

Ellen Sankey, TfL’s brand licensing manager added: “As two brands both born in London, it is great to see Kurt Geiger use our iconic assets in such a creative way.

“We both share a dedication to high-quality design and through this partnership we look forward to seeing people wearing a little piece (or two) of the city wherever they may be.”

The Kurt Geiger x TfL collection is available to purchase online and in stores from Friday, August 19.
