BHOPAL: Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said on Monday that Kundalpur and Bandakpur will be converted into holy places and sale of meat and liquor will be banned in bother places.
Chouhan along with his wife Sadhna Singh reached Kundalpur Panchkalyanak Mahamahotsav on Monday for the darshan of Bade Baba. He sought the blessings of Vidyasagar Maharaj after offering prayers to Bade Baba. Chouhan and his wife attended the Panchkalyanak festival as Indra and Indrani. Public works minister Gopal Bhargava, MSME minister Omprakash Sakhlecha, former minister Jayant Malaiya also sought blessings of Vidyasagar Maharaj.
Chouhan said that Acharya Shri has shown the way to the wandering humanity. He has done inspiring work in the field of education, health and service of bovines. The coming generations will not be able to believe that great sants like Sant Vidyasagar Maharaj have also lived on this earth. He said that whenever he comes across any problem, he gets a solution by remembering Acharya Shri. He has not come here as the chief minister but as a disciple. This place seems like heaven. The darshan of Acharya Shri gives such satisfaction and joy that cannot be described in words.
The chief minister said that the Bade Baba temple built in Kundalpur is wonderful. People from all over the world will come to this holy place and seek Bade Baba’s darshan.
Chouhan said that as desired by Vidyasagar Maharaj, the state government will impart education through Hindi medium in medical and engineering colleges from this year itself. Emphasis will be given on self-employment along with education. Vocational education will also be imparted from class VI onwards. The chief minister said that the society should also come forward for "gau seva". He requested the people to treat both sons and daughters as equal, and not to discriminate between them in any way. Plantation plan will be made to make the hills of Kundalpur green. Chouhan also requested people to plant saplings for environmental change.
Chouhan also released the German translation of the famous book ‘Mookmati’ written by Acharya Shri. On reaching Kundalpur, the members of the Mahamahotsav Committee honoured the chief minister and other ministers and presented mementos.
