The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has provided support for the national campaign for vaccination against coronavirus, implemented by the Yemeni Ministry of Public Health and Population, reported the Saudi Press Agency on Saturday.
The campaign was carried out in 12 governorates between September 24 and 28 as part of a support project that aims to increase the rate of vaccination against the virus in war-torn Yemen.
The campaign was held in coordination with the Ministry and World Health Organization.
The campaign reached 446,966 individuals aged 18 years and above, it trained 2,242 vaccination team members, and deployed 320 fixed awareness volunteer teams and 180 mobile teams to vaccinate the targeted population.
The move is in line with Saudi Arabia’s keenness to support Yemeni health authorities to perform their vital duties towards the population and help combat COVID-19.
