KSI renews offer to Jake Paul and Tommy Fury after fight cancellation

KSI has offered Jake Paul the chance to face Tommy Fury on the undercard of his fight with Alex Wassabi later this month.

Paul had signed a contract alongside his bitter rival Fury to settle their differences in the ring at Madison Square Garden this weekend. However the fight collapsed after Fury was banned from travelling to the US for the press conference.

His rival KSI - real name JJ Olatunji - made an offer to save his fight with Fury on social media, tweeting: "Clearly your card is dead in the water at this point. So let me give you a lifeline. If you TRULY want to fight Tommy, fight on my card as the co main event. I’ve got everything set up for you. Best believe you owe me one though. Ball is in your court."

Paul rejected the offer and instead elected to choose Hasim Rahman Jr to replace Fury on the same date, but that fight has now also been cancelled with Paul accusing his rival of missing their contracted weight limit. He has been left without an opponent at the second time of asking.

However KSI has now reiterated his offer, saying on a YouTube video : "Jake should've accepted my offer and should've fought on my undercard. There's still time, you can fight Tommy Fury on my undercard. It will be a great event. You can fight Tommy Fury at a sold-out O2 arena, you don't have to worry about the logistics we can sort all of that.

"It will be easy for you. All you have to do is show up and that's it. Show up, then weigh-in and do a little press conference but it is what it is." If Paul was to fight Fury on the undercard, it would likely set up a clash with KSI if he comes through the test of Wassabi on the night.

It is understood Paul will come to the arena anyway with a view to doing a face-off if KSI can prevail over Wassabi. It will be the first time the British content creator has fought since defeating Paul's brother Logan in a 2019 rematch, after taking time out to focus on his successful music career and YouTube group Sidemen.

Despite the prospect of the offer potential reviving his activity this month, Paul is understood to be preparing other options and has named a three-man short-list of Mike Tyson, Nate Diaz and Anderson Silva. He has also publicly rejected KSI's offer, replying on Twitter : "I play chess, you play checkers. Your opponent is repped by me and I know a lot more about your business than you would like. You are not on my level in boxing or the boxing business."
