KSI makes Tommy Fury contract demand as Jake Paul hints at rematch timeline

KSI and Jake Paul are both queueing up to fight Tommy Fury.

‘TNT’ earned a decision win over Paul in his last trip to the ring in February, surviving a knockdown in the final round to come away with the victory. The Love Island star improved his professional record to 9-0 and looked to have lined up his next opponent when he faced off with KSI after the YouTuber’s controversial fight with Joe Fournier.

Paul decided against triggering his rematch clause with Fury, instead agreeing to box former UFC star Nate Diaz in August. This looked to have cleared the way for Fury, 24, to set up a bout with KSI but the head of Misfits Boxing has called on his potential opponent to sign on the dotted line.

"What you waiting for @tommytntfury?" KSI tweeted. "Sign the damn contract and let me show you the difference between me and that fraud who only wins against retired mma pensioners."

Fury did not respond to KSI’s demands on social media. However, it did spark a response from Jake Paul and prompted a back and forth between the pair on Twitter and suggested that he had a second fight with Tommy Fury in his sights for next year.

"This clown… tried to fight (Dillon Danis) who has never boxed and put a rehydration clause on him," Paul replied. "Fought a 40 year old who hadn’t fought for 3 years and put a rehydration clause on him before elbowing him.

“Now trying to squeeze Tommy. I elevated Tommy, my son is now worth a lot more than the $1.5M offers you making. Tommy, February we run it back."

KSI was unmoved by Paul’s reply and suggested his defeat to Fury had harmed the build-up to his clash with Nate Diaz: "It’s crazy how much your hype has died since you lost. No one cares anymore."
