KSI has agreed to fight Tommy Fury at his proposed weight of 185lb - as long as the rivals both weigh in on fight day.
YouTube boxer KSI and Fury have been in negotiations for a potential Manchester meeting later this year. The fight was put in jeopardy after KSI accused the Love Island star of trying to change the agreed weight from 180lb to 185lb. KSI has weighed in around the 180lb mark for most of his recent boxing fights but has now agreed to face Fury at 185lb if he agrees to the rehydration clause.
“Tommy I wanna KO your a** so badly that I’ll come up in weight and do 185lbs if you agree to do the weigh in on the morning of fight day. Nice fair fight. If not you will forever be known as Tommy Ducky,” he wrote on Twitter.

It’s the same rehydration clause that KSI put in the contract for his last opponent Joe Fournier, as the duo couldn’t go over 190lb for the second weigh in that took place hours prior to the fight. KSI went on to brutally knock out Fournier with an illegal elbow but his win was later overturned to a no-decision.
Fury accused KSI of not being transparent in their fight negotiations as he said in a Twitter video: “Here we go again guys, KSI going on about how it’s my fault the contract hasn’t been signed yet. Just a few things to clear up, KSI has only just agreed to do drug testing for this fight and now he’s complaining about the weight.
“This fight is at 185lb, take it or leave it. I know you’re a midget and you’re worrying about the weight, but get some more food down you and you’ll get there.” Fury then offered former opponent Jake Paul a rematch if he is unable to secure a fight against KSI. Paul agreed to Fury's call out and gave October as a potential date for their second fight.
KSI weighed in over 185lb for both of his fights against Logan Paul and Fury has previously fought as low as 178lb in his professional career. Fury ended the unbeaten run of Jake his first defeat when the pair met earlier this year in Saudi Arabia. Paul was expected to pursue a rematch against his bitter rival, but will instead return to the ring against UFC legend Nate Diaz in August.
