KSI details message from Man City striker Erling Haaland after Arsenal title collapse

Man City striker Erling Haaland messaged YouTube star KSI mocking him after Arsenal's heavy defeat to Brighton.

KSI fought in his latest boxing bout this weekend stopping rival Joe Fournier in controversial fashion, a result which is now under review after footage showed him using an elbow for the KO strike. However while KSI was victorious, his beloved Premier League title challengers Arsenal appeared to lose their ambition of becoming champions, falling to a heavy 3-0 defeat to Brighton at the Emirates Stadium.

Their woes had already been compounded as fellow title hopefuls Manchester City ran riot in a 3-0 win over Everton at Goodison Park to move four points clear at the top of the table with a game in hand on the Gunners. Sensational striker Haaland got on the scoresheet with a close-range header as he dragged the Citizens one step closer to another title.

And he was clearly delighted with the outcome of the weekend's results, with influencer KSI revealing he had received contact from the Norwegian striker after Arsenal's loss. "You know it's so funny, it's so funny. Literally today, Haaland messaged me, and he just sent me a GIF," KSI said when reviewing Arsenal's end to the season in an interview on the MMA Hour.

"Well, I’m KSI man. But yeah, I sent him a video, I’m not gonna say what the video was, but it’s very funny now how well he’s doing and how well Man City are doing. It’s very funny and I’m very angry."

"No I'm not worried," he added. "No honestly like the season's done, Man City have won. It is what it is. I'm still super proud of Arsenal in general, the goal was Champions League, and somehow we've managed to be in the title race for a little bit. Fair play to Man City, what they've won it six times in seven years, it is pretty ridiculous."

Haaland's City can now clinch the title at the weekend if Arsenal first lose to Nottingham Forest, or if they can pick up another win against Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday. Despite the bad fortunes of Mikel Arteta's side in recent weeks, KSI will now be heavily distracted with the outcome of Fournier's appeal against his boxing result.

The PBA released a statement on Monday declaring that the elbow which sealed his KO win is being reviewed. It read: "We have invited representations from each contestant and their representatives before the matter is reviewed in line with our rules and procedures.

"We are also seeking legal counsel as to the issues involved to ensure all matters are dealt with properly and fairly while seeking to uphold the integrity of boxing. Any decision or otherwise on the matter will be made available to the contestants on or before 4pm GMT Friday 19 th May 2023. No further comment will be made until after that time."
