KSI admitted his win over Joe Fournier is tarnished after knocking out the nightclub owner with an illegal elbow.
The YouTube boxer competed in his second fight of the calendar year this past weekend having previously knocked out FaZe Temperrr in January. KSI bagged another knockout win but it didn't come without controversy as instant reply showed the fight-ending blow came in the form of an elbow. The sequence came just moments after KSI had Fournier on wobbly legs after landing a big overhand right.
Fournier was furious after the loss and said he intends to appeal the loss with the PBA [Professional Boxing Association] which sanctioned the event. KSI originally dismissed that he knocked out Fournier with an elbow when quizzed in his post-fight interview, but 'The Nightmare' has now issued a statement on Twitter admitting the illegal blow.

"I worked very hard for this fight and had an intense and gruelling camp," he wrote." There’s no better feeling than being in that ring and having my hand raised in front of my loyal and amazing fans who I appreciate so much. Unfortunately the victory which was inevitable no matter what, is tarnished and I hate that. It sucks!
"After landing my overhand he was pretty much out on his feet and I went for a short right hook as Joe clinched me and fell into me. I landed that hook and my glove made contact but appears to have been followed by unintentional contact with my forearm. I’m gutted that it’s not as clean a win as I wanted and it feels like it diminishes my hard work with my trainers. Either way I hope you enjoyed the show and appreciate the support. Sorry to all the fans disappointed with it. No one is more so than me."
KSI faced off with Love Island star Tommy Fury in the ring after beating Fournier and the pair had to be separated by security after butting heads with each other. Fournier believes KSI's elbow was intentional, not accidental, which is why he wants the win to be overturned to a disqualification loss.
"I'm not here to lie or make excuses, he did hit me with some great right hands," Fournier said. "He was doing great in the fight and didn't need to do that, but he did after feeling the power of mine. It should be a disqualification and another win for me. This doesn't go on my pro record either way but I'm a man of integrity and if you get cheated, you have to rectify that as a man."
