Rohan Smith says that Kruise Leeming is officially no longer a Leeds Rhinos player, confirming his exit from the Super League club. Leeming requested a release a fortnight ago, with a move to NRL club Gold Coast Titans looming on the horizon.
Smith insisted last week that Leeds were still working through the details of Leeming's release before granting it, suggesting some paperwork still had to be completed. However, he told Rugby League Live on Wednesday that from what he understood, that paperwork had now been finalised, effectively meaning Leeming is a free agent.
He said: "The paperwork at our end has been done, I don't know where he's going but from our end, it's all done."

When asked by Rugby League Live if that meant Leeming was no longer a Leeds Rhinos player, Smith responded: "To my knowledge, that is correct."
The hooker is believed to be close to securing a move to the Titans for the remainder of this season, in a move which would see him link up with former St Helens boss Justin Holbrook.
He would then be free to negotiate with Super League clubs from as early as the forthcoming weeks, with a number of sides believed to be monitoring Leeming's situation should he decide to return to England in 2024.
