Kruise Leeming got off to a winning start in the NRL after making his debut for Gold Coast Titans. The former Leeds Rhinos hooker came off the bench as Justin Holbrook's side picked up a 20-18 victory over St George Illawarra Dragons.
Leeming came off the bench and played around 30 minutes for the Titans in what was his first game for well over a month. He had last played in Leeds Rhinos' win over St Helens but actually only featured for around five minutes before coming off injured.
But he produced an impressive performance as the Titans moved up to sixth in the table. He made a number of dummy runs and made 12 tackles during his spell on the field.

His efforts didn't go unnoticed, with many praising his performance online. Bad Life Titans Podcast tweeted: "Pretty solid debut from Kruise Leeming. Some handy runs from dummy half and very solid defence. Think he will be a handy pick-up moving forward."
Sheriff of the North added: "Kruise Leeming looks comfortable after being thrown into a competitive game. Not sure why more NRL teams don’t look at Super League players. Most players that make the switch hold up fairly well."
Leeming will get to test himself again next week when the Titans take on NRL leaders Brisbane Broncos. The hooker has signed a deal with Gold Coast until the end of the season but is free to negotiate a Super League return for 2024 should he wish to do so.
