Designer Tarun Tahiliani presented an enchanting collection at the ongoing FDCI X Lakme Fashion Week. His collection was an amalgamation of modern and traditional silhouettes. And staying true to his brand ethos, Tarun had actor Kriti Sanon walk for him. She looked absolutely beguiling in a black strapless blouse with a figure-hugging skirt and a stole to round off the look.
Set amidst the backdrop of the picturesque Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium building, Kriti Sanon made a grand entry in a car. She looked every inch the modern Indian princess.
This collection was a beautiful expression of modern India and is global at the same time. It showed the amalgamation of modern and traditional silhouettes as well as drapes with technology and aerodynamics. Structured draping marries tech. There are prints in the collection, which have been distorted and recreated in the most beautiful textiles. Innovative at its core, the textiles in this collection have been woven with a Zari thread and Resham to create metallic textured sheen and look like molten metals. This collection is a new take on the future generation that is confident, experimental, has fashion in its roots and values avant-garde design.
