Kristina Kika Dukic dead aged 21 - Tributes paid to Twitch streamer and YouTuber

Serbian Twitch streamer and YouTuber Kristina Kika Dukic has been found dead aged just 21.

The influencer had recently experienced terrible online bullying with trolls sending her hateful messages on her social media pages.

The star's body was found in the Serbian capital Belgrade by the police at about 11:40pm along with no traces of foul play.

The Ministry of the Interior of Serbia has stated that the investigation is currently ongoing.

Kristina's mother first made the news public online, who has been named in local media reports as Natasa Djukic.

Her death was confirmed on Instagram with a short statement.

"This will be a hard time for us all and all we can do is keep her memory alive. We love you Kika and miss you more than words can explain. If you are having suicidal thoughts or suffering from depression please speak to someone you are not alone."

The YouTuber had reportedly been dealing with bullying on her social media pages for the last few years.

A close associate of the influencer, Mira Vladisavljevic told local media outlet Telegraf : "Terrible. A terrible thing happened last night. I appeal to all the media to carefully report on this case and on the girl who struggled with bullying for five years. Please understand."

In one of Kristina's online videos she talked about her situation and she felt whatever she did it wasn't good enough for others.

She went on to explain the bullying she was subject to and said that it was important to be happy and do what she wanted during her life.

One of the people who criticised her was Bogdan Ilic, aka Baka Prase, who has over a million followers on Instagram.

He went through Kristina's videos, labelling her as a fake according to local media outlet Republika.

The news outlet reported that due to having a lot of followers, Bogdan's comments influenced his supporters who then went on to post on Kristina's Instagram with hateful comments, telling her to 'kill yourself'.

However, it seems that Bogdan tried to disassociate himself from the situation.

He reportedly said that the pair tried to become friends before her death and that the truth will come out one day.

According to local media outlet Direktno he said: "I was among the first to find out about this event because her friends called me and told me that they would publicly support me with the truth about the whole event, but I refused because I do not want to be a victim.

He apologised for not announcing that the two of them became friends and reconciled their issues before Kristina's death and now people don't know the reason why she took her own life.

He believes that the public don't give 'the dead peace and respect' just so they can get 'likes'.

Bogdan went on to add that he wouldn't be the one to publish the reason of her death in an attempt to 'wash' his name.

He said that if people hate him because of this then this is 'fine' with him.
